Wow! Huge difference between the RI, Weber speakers and the Alien.
Really nice tone, Stan. It does seem like your highs have smoothed out and the low end is part of the sound now. Rather than jumping out.

the highs smoothed out.i would say the low end is tighter. ilike the reis g12h30 the best.i recorded with a sm57 into a $30 behringer sounboard into the mic input on my computer sound card.not a very good recording setup..if i could play closer like he does and had a good recording setup,it would be scarry close..

Stan did you used all the same set ups (settings, guitar, etc) and just changes speakers on those clips?
The 30watts reissue are much clearer sounding then the other ones hummm, good work dude.
Are they breaked in those 30watts (variac trick, etc...)?

yes all speakers are broken in.everything was recorded the same way, same settings, same guitar.the only variable is mic placement.i tried to keep that the same with measuring from the edge of the cabinet, mic placement..

The 2'' heyboer clips that you did a while ago sound darker than these clips,is it because of a different mic palcement or is it the OT?

Those sound great Stan! I think I like the Celestion G12H30 the best ... it sounds closest to the original recording. Very cool comparison.
