All about iron and copper.

Can these trannies be used in a MARSHALL?

Post by neikeel » Tue Jan 23, 2007 10:17 am

Hi all,

Anyone know anything about 1202 233 PT and 784 213 OT.

They are from a Carlsboro 50 watt top, just wondered what their specs are or where I might find the correct specs (maybe useful for a build?).

Thanks

Neil

As far as i know, Carlsbro OTs have been used as replacements for Marshalls. Check out Brian Wallace's pages with all the pics and serial number of amps through the ages. Some have replaced OT from Carlsbro amps.

My 50 Top sounds ace with its original iron so it should be suitable for a build. I guess your donor amp was a TC 60? With a stand up OT and lay down PT? (or was that just the 100 watt variety?

No it was on ebay.

I got sniped at the end.

I was not sure how much I wanted it so did not up the ante!

It was from a 60 watter, the PT was a stand up type, again got sniped, the guy has listed a few trannies most untested.

Although I have found a good rewinder I already have enough dead ones to rebuild when it becomes economic
