Transformer to transformer hum?

Post by syscokid » Tue Jun 19, 2012 4:28 pm

I noticed on some designs that the OT is offset from the PT (and/or the Choke), when these 2 trannys are close together. Obviuosly to reduce noise between the two or three components.

Is it the footprint of the EMF's that interact with each other?

Besides actually turning the OT, can a piece of certain kind of metal plate be placed in between the trannys, or Choke, to disrupt the interaction temporarily?
