Mercury Magnetics wiring question

Post by dast » Sun Apr 15, 2007 2:02 pm

Hello,

I have an Axiom MP-100-460 power transformer and want to verify a few connections:

First, I assume the browns are not used.

The Blue/White and Grey are twisted together and go to standby.

The yellow goes to filter cap. What does the yellow do?

Orange goes to main fuse

Red goes to power switch.

Thanks,
Dave

A wiring diagram would be handy...(cant find it on the MM website). Which terminal of the filter cap? +ve or -ve?

That seems to be another color code:

If you'd mention ALL the colors on your PT, thinghs would go easier!

The fault almost always is sitting in front of the amp

right, sorry I didn't provide proper info. Larry's link to the diagram is basically what I have, though mine has 9v ACC brown wires.

So I'm basically sure that this is correct, but I was hoping someone could verify the following:
that the brown 9v acc wires are ignored
that the 175 B+ get twisted together and go to standby switch
that the B+ center tap (yellow) goes to positive terminals of filter cap
and that orange (common goes to mains fuse).

thanks,
Dave
