PT and OT Questions

Hey gurus,

just in the throws of making my 1st 50watt clone, i have all the transformers installed and a few parts soldered in and i was probing around with my DMM and discovered a few things... when i checked the ground connections i found that the HT taps of the PT read like a dead short to ground and same with the OT wires to the impedance switch... should i have reason to be concerned??? i thought it better to ask then to have the thing blow up on me upon the 1st fire up
