the dag smokes the MM, it IS like LP compared to cd...

Yeah I agree, but New School would still sound bad on an Lp. An LP, has to have a good player as well, cause these "new" record players sound like shit. The old stuff though(component quality ,speakers,obviously) makes a record sound like "Amber" as compared to the new stuffs "sap". Unless the record is being played on a vintage or NOS type player, I think the Cd is better, as it is better suited to it's players(CD) technolagy.

I am not saying that Rockstah or rgalpins clips are bad(due to the Merc),they have come closest to me at EVH tone, it's just that I was VERY impressed with the comparison of the Dag against the Merc.I think that a real DAG, or a more accurate clone would help anyone get closer .It would be great to get that 74 Dag tone out of the Metro clone, as it is very affordable, as compared to the Merc.I was straddeling the fence,as to which one to get. I think I'll go with the Metro Dag clone .
