I am looking to buy the 50 watt plexi kit ,and was curious if the upgrade to the allen bradleys made a difference in tone.

I believe so in certain positions (V1 plates, tone stack and NFB resistor), elsewhere I use them for lead length (820R on V1 and V2 cathodes, 100k on V2).

Not essential, slightly softer 'vintage' tone that is all
