So, is the Lemco thing about cosmetics or is there a difference in tone?

Just wondering, thanks in advance for any input you may have on the subject.

Funny you should ask...everyone goes on about mustard clones but no-one seems to talk about the silver micas. I've used Lemcos in a JTM45 build simply for looks but i dont know whether that makes any difference. I'd like to know whether theres any premium cap available.

That seems to be the thing Wicksy, all the talk is about mustards but not much about the other things...

A friend of mine swears by ceramics in Marshall's, as opposed to silver mica's... something about a "warmer-fatter" tone. I thought the old Lemco's were silver mica caps?

Anyway, I'm going to experiment with some ceramic cap swaps for the silver mica caps and see what happens.

It's fun experimenting with these things!
