Lets talk about 45/100 chassis and panels
OK guys, I'll level with you. The 45/100 chassis print has been at the stamping plant for several months now. They had some delays on their end. And I also has some cash flow issues on my end. Given the choice between re-ordering kit chassis or a new one obviously I chose the kits.
I just can't ignore the huge demand any longer. So please, help a small business meet your demands. I'm open to suggestions.
My best solution at this time is to make these parts available for pre-order. Just let me know if you're willing to order now, knowing that the lead time is 4-8 weeks for delivery.
I propose this: an aluminum chassis with folded ends, panels, both accurate boards (main and cap) and mounting hardware. Estimated price $225
I am concerned that the folded ends may not be adequate for the larger transformers. They need to be tig welded, which may add a few bucks per chassis. I can absorb this cost, but it may add a week to the lead time.
Also, on the panels. I can't really get away with printing "Super Amplifier" on the rear. But I don't see why we can't make a decal of this. Maybe even a 3rd party could handle this.
Of course, transformers will be available to add on.
PLEASE NOTE: I'm not talking about a 45/100 kit!!! Just a bare bones parts kit. With a layout diagram.
Please let me know your thoughts. Much appreciated.

I'll have another, I would want the dark period style boards tho'.
The chassis should be welded but check the offset with respect to the headcab/plexipanel to avoid a gap of bare aluminium between panel and headcab cutout as mine was 1/4" out but I managed to tweak it because it was not welded
CTS pots would be best.
Happy to pay up front

Even without calling it a Marshall, the "Super Amplifier" has to go?
The decal is a great solution, but kind of a bummer since I see that designation over at the Malaysian guys site.
Not gonna buy from Asia tho.
I'll be up for a chassis or bare-bones kit as well.

What did you have in mind? I can do custom panel artwork or hand-illustrate the "Super Amplifier" script if that's what you need and if you have a good example to go by. I'm sure your guy can do the same. Are you talking about a 3rd party creating/selling decals or a 3rd party providing an alternate rear panel with the script?VelvetGeorge wrote:I can't really get away with printing "Super Amplifier" on the rear. Re: Lets talk about 45/100 chassis and panels
Do you think the end tabs tearing out will be a big issue using cage nuts? My Super PA chassis really looks like tear-out was the biggest issue, since they were just drilling a hole and running a bolt through with a nut at the other end. Other wise I see very little bending of the ends, nor any flexing of the top surface from transformer weight.VelvetGeorge wrote:I am concerned that the folded ends may not be adequate for the larger transformers.
