kewl.......since i don't need any voltage switch ....and tell me ...i stamped my custom chassis speaker holes taking for a template one of your jtm45 white rear panel...are the 45/100 rear panel speaker holes at the same place than those on the simple 45 ? i aligned the 45 panel like this on the larger 45/100 chassis to cut my speaker holes in the chassis :

I------'''''''''''''''''''''''I

well you probably know what i mean ...

Unfortunately no. None of the locations on the JTM 45 rear panel correspond to the holes on the 45/100 rear.

Yes, the very earliest EL34 amps did still have the seven-cap/six-diode board just like the KT66 JTM45/100's. Roger's Amp Archives site has pics of at least one of these amps available.

That's what I plan to build with at least one of the chassis I plan to snag...... :D
which PT would be historically correct in this early el34 amp? would it be the same PT as in the kt66 amps or would it be the later tranny?

The ones I can find shots of still had the 1204-43 PT with the 7-cap board. There is a JTM45/100 on eBay right now with the 1203-80 and the dual rectifier, 8-cap board too.

As far as I know the PT, or at least the first PT specific for EL's instead of KT's would be the 1203-80. The OT would be the 1202-132.

This is the information Greg Germino offers with his '67 "Fillmore:"

http://www.germinoamps.com/fillmore100.htm

And a nice shot of the rectifier/filter cap board there as well.

Id love to know where he gets those resistors. And the lemcos too. He obviuously must have plenty to use them in his amps.

Like anything Marshall the transitions were not that organized. Here's some 45/100 shots with EL34's, the 1204-43 PT, and the 119 OT which came before the 132:

Here's one with an eight cap board even, but the older single rectifier arrangement:

Got my front panel and installed it. It's great, of course.

That chassis looks ultra compact for a 45/100.

Almost JTM45 size
