The Darkness Tone WTF ????

Post by ChuckLogan » Tue Dec 19, 2006 12:11 pm

OK Brothers don't kill me, but if you get around the vocals (which I think are kind of fun in T&C way) the guitar tone is huge.

Any ideas on the amps and the mics used ??

Was on the eliptical yesterday and they came up on my Ipod and i was thinking wow this is some big ass old school tone with a conteporary recording approach.

Cheers

At the bottom it goes on about his effects racks and amps.

At least live, maybe in the studio, the singer actually was using a Mesa Boogie head.

The first time I saw them live they were using Mesas (Justin) and 1959slp's (Dan) both in a wall stack configuration, the second time Dan had upgraded to 1959HW's.
