Post by ChuckLogan » Thu Nov 30, 2006 3:47 pm

Rock Brothers!

I recently acquired a Neumann U87 from a friend . . and I now I know why he gave it to me  when I power the mic up using a battery or by phantom power the mic trys to power up and then basically shuts down.

Does anyone know of a web board I might be able to get some advice on reparing this mic ??

Cheers

Neumann USA does some servicing as well. How involved I am not sure but they can do some basic's according to what I have heard. They helped me date mine (an early one June 1970) and were very helpful.
