Learning how to Record, Engineer, Live Sound...

Post by raul » Wed Nov 29, 2006 11:16 am

hey there...I'm going to attend Austin Community College to learn all about recording, engineering, live sound and i really want to get good at it.
i know next to nothing about it at the moment. i know people who do it for a living and i have been playing for years and i just think i would love to learn the art of recording and being a good sound person. and all that it covers...

how did you learn? can you recommend some good books or magazines? what do you suggest?

would love some suggestions...

Rockstah, it would be cool to see you play here in town one day. i did leave you a comment on one of the other pages here, don't remember which one. love yer playing! don't know if you'll see this one, but yeah, you play rings around most people and seem t be pretty modest about it. that's cool!
yes, i want to learn as much as possible about being a good engineer so i'm going to read as much as possible before going to classes starting next summer at ACC! can't wait to learn!

any more book suggestions or mag or website place will be nice.
