"Honey. Look I saved $500 on a $1500 item!"

"Yeah and you would have saved $1500 if you didn't buy it AT ALL!"

That logic is great until it's that $1500 guitar you've been drooling over. Then logic gets thrown back in your face, another thing your wife is an expert at I'm sure.........

The metal stud walls seem odd to me, probably just because I haven't used them before. I'm just wondering if the mass in regular 2*4s would dampen the walls some.

Then again I just finished a paint booth in my sub-basement and had to hand plane a twisted stud to get a door jam in, so metal would have some advantages :D

That reminds me of the comic bit I saw a guy do once. He was talking about the spending differences between men and women. Here's the scenario...he's going through all his wife's shopping bills for clothes et al.

Him: "Whoah! Damn! Look honey, we need to talk about all your shopping and spending! Look at all these! You've gotta stop!"
Her: "Well, what about your boat?"
Him: "What? I need my boat."

That's how it is at my place... "It was only $15". "yeah, but $15 everyday adds up!" "What about your Les Paul?"

The studs are straight and cheap  and when you put the Ruxal in between you only have a 1/8 in gap between the studs and the inso..
with wood you would have 1 1/2 space between inso... so technicly you have more inso in the walls.. example 10ft wall 24 oc with wood, the mesurment
would be 120 in minus 1 1/2 in for every stud leaving you with ( 7studs in 10 ft) 109 1/2 in of inso..with metal you would have 118 7/8 of inso...but there are othere +s and -s to all framing materials...
