My band has 4 sound clips at:
http://www.myspace.com/diamonddustcanada
Let me know what you guys think of the guitar tone.
And maybe let me know what improvments you think I should make on the tone.
They're rough sounding, we quickly threw up some mics and let 'er roll.
I'm not sure if I want to say what I'm using, maybe it'll be fun to see if you can guess the amp.
Thanks.

OK, showing my age, but I'm a complete myspace.com know-nothing.......where are the clips on there????
I'd also comment before listening that the wrong mic placement will absolutely make or break whatever tone we're hearing, God knows it's killing me some days..........so I almost hate to comment on tone if you really did just toss up the mics and go.

As soon as you hit the site a song starts to play.
But the tunes and player are right there on the right hand side.

My laptop is muted all the time, or I at least would have heard the song on load up.......

I thought it was a good solid tone too, cut through nicely. Didn't quite sound Marshall.......I could get that out of a blackface Fender Bassman.......

Tush I liked !
BottomsUp was a FLURTIN' WITH DISASTER (Molley Hatchet) tone...Excluding the phaser of course...
Da playin' was berry, berry nice...

Thanks everyone.
It's a 5150II.
Tush and AI were recorded on the same day.
And the VH tunes were recorded with a different cab and different mic, which I think didn't turn out as well.
But I'm not sure if I can do anything else to improve the tone.
I guess with one's amp it is what it is.
I did perform the bias mod on it.

What speakers were you using for each track? I think your playing is great. I think the Halen stuff had a little too much mid and I tought the ZZ was a little dark sounding. I'm not too familiar with the tone on AI but it sounded good. I really like the drum sound, the kick just exploded!!! Over all I thought the tone of everything worked well. Especially for just throwing some mic's up!!

My cabinet houses 1 ElectroVoice 12" Speaker.
It looks like a 2x12 cab, but one of the speaker holes is empty.
