mp3 sound clips and youtube videos

I am new to the music recording scene and I've just finished a plexi 100 watter. I'd appreciate any information regarding how to record and put mp3 clips and youtube videos on the internet with the best sound quality possible. Like what equipment, camera, what's needed, etc. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
