Post by BLOOZE » Tue Nov 17, 2009 8:12 am

I need studio headphones for guitar vocal and bass recording.

What do you think about?

Beyerdynamic DT770

Sennheiser HD 280

What do you use?

I'm using the HD 280's and find that they work well at a fair price.

I use Sony MDR7506's... they suit me just just fine! I know there are better but they sound great, are decently priced and very reliable!

From my experience a lot of them are not loud enough unless you play super quiet. The ones that are called "DJ headphones" are the loudest ones (without distorting) I have tried.

I have the Beyerdynamic DT770. I think they sound great. They dont cancell out the sound totally but enough to make adjustments. They are also very comfortable.

I have used Beyerdynamic DT770 for 2 years and I see it still works well. I do not know about HD 280.
Thus, I suggest you to buy Beyerdynamic DT770 :D
Good choice !!!
