Eddie Kramer - Hendrix and Zeppelin engineer/producer
Hey all,
I just wanted to brag a little bit. I got the chance to talk with Eddie Kramer last night. The school I teach at was sponsor to a Waves plug-in seminar that Eddie Kramer was speaking at. It was awesome listening to stories about how he recorded Hendrix and Zeppelin. What a night! I am going to put some pictures up on my website soon!

Eddie Kramer is a trip. I spoke to him at several NAMM shows and he still has the fire and energy. People were walking up to him and telling him how great he was. I asked him first thing, "Eddie, when you put the speaker under water with Jimi how did it sound?' He let a trememdous laugh and said 'It sounded like SHIT! But we would try anything".
What stories he told.

There is a great Hendrix DVD(the Hendrix Band of Gypsies documentary)
it features alot of Eddie Kramer throughout and he is isolating guitar tracks of Jimi and playing outtakes, telling great stories about electricladyland, etc. - really cool stuff!
