Studio Monitoring Problem

First all, let me tell you my current setup. I have a Behringer MX9000 Eurodesk mixer going in to a M-Audio Delta 1010 sound card which has 8 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs. I have an 8 channel snake (TRS) which goes from the sub-group outs on the mixer to the 8 ins on the Delta.
The Delta has a control panel (see pic) which allows you to select the outs and ins for each channel but you have to select either one so as not to get a feedback loop. The problem I am having trouble with is monitoring the original tracks that were recorded and the new track to be done at the same time. Is there anyone familiar with this type of setup who could point me in the right direction as far as maybe additional wiring etc... As of now I have the 1/2 outs on the Delta going to my monitors. Should any of the Delta's outs be going back in to the mixer? Thanks for your time.
