sounds more than alittle a like - it is the melody u are playing on the guitar.
the only reason i knew it was because i have played that very song with Chuck before.;)
Yeah, it sure does. No disrespect intended, it does sound great, Blues!

Mark, sounds like we're alike in that regard. Everytime my friends or I write something they ask me "OK, what's it sound like?" And, I ALWAYS have answer. Nobody wants to play with me no more...

Oh no! I'm not saying I'm totally innocent. I borrowed the idea for that song from an old jazz standard music book a friend of mine had. What you've done now is make me suspicious as to where they, 3DN, got the idead for their version fo the song.

I don't slite them for it though. Hell Led Zeppelin admits to borrowing tons of stuff off old blues artists and even got sued a many time back in the day.

Yeah, I was singing the words to "Easy To Be Hard" when I was listening to your clip. I really like the recording -- very chilling, bro -- but I think many would say, "Nice version of Easy To Be Hard, dude!"

Honestly I've heard MANY versions of songs on Smooth Jazz FM stations that are much more venturesome departures and interpretations of various songs that still keep the original name. Many times, when people hear these renditions, often by relatively famous players, they don't recognize the melody or the name and authors/composers of the original tune.

Like you say, who knows if Three Dog Night copped it from an earlier source. Is it possible? You bet! Of course it is! Just think about all the Drugs these guys did; with some members (Jimmy Greenspoon) on a $500 a day habit (in early 1970's dollars!!!) they might not even remember where or who they ripped it from.

I really enjoyed the guitar tone, and the organ as well. A very nice recording! Mind if I grab an mp3 of it for some friends?

A pair of old Fender blue label speakers from my Twin reverb. The ones with the swiss cheese frames.

this is really cool...can you offer up any artist in this genre that are comparable? Something I could go out and buy? I chilled out last night and listened through about 4 times. Very relaxing.
