Lexicon Omega,Lambda or Alpha Desktop recording units

Post by T.J.Fuller » Thu Oct 18, 2007 7:18 pm

Does anyone have any experience with either of these units?

Any pros or cons about either of them is appreciated.

Also, would these units be compatable with Adobe Audtion???

Thanks, in advance!

These are both firewire or Usb interfaces with a couple of mic pre's right..
Should not be a problem with Audition..

How ever I would reccomend getting a firewire interface. They have less problems with latency and dont require as much resorsces from your cpu to operate...

I think they are USB, I'll look a little deeper

They claim to to be Zero latency thru the USB?

This is why I'm inquiring...I'm reading reviews that say both good and bad things and it's making it tough to make an informed decision.

If firewire is the way to go, is there anything else you recomend??

I guess it all depends on how much you want to spend

RME, Audiofire 12 or 8, Presonus, M-Box, Focusrite Saffire all fire wire check them all out..

I use a RME Hammerfall I bought off off VG very nice interface 8 in 8 out
Real Nice converters very clean..
