What's the tempo for this, anyway?[/quote]

Funny....I keep singing "Stone Cold" over it when I'm thinking it in my head!

DEFINITELY Stone Cold, Andy.

I'm in but don't wait for me. With the heat wave we just had I became painfully aware that the airflow in the music room I built over the garage isn't! I've got the ceiling tore down installing duct work. It'll be a while before the studio is back up.

It never ends.....

of course you guys know about beat caculate( nuendo ) or beat identify( pro tools) - you should learn this in your given app. makes things a whole lot easier starting with your sequencer actually in time with the track.

Naw, go for it......the sweat makes it easier to forget you're in your studio, and fool you into thinking you're onstage. Just add a 1000-watt colored spot and you're there.

Although the finish on my guitar hasn't cured yet, I've downloaded the backing track and will put it on my multitrack tonight - I'll play about with it a bit with the amp simulator and my mate's Squier that's lying around to see if I can come up with some cool ideas.

Anyone got a really nice EMT plate reverb sim? I've got plate reverb on the multitrack and I tend to use it a lot with my distorted guitar tone, but if someone's got something that sounds even better, can I give you the settings and let you add the reverb?

Is it too late to join in? I know I'm new and haven't built anything yet but I figured I'd ask. If it's for the veteran board members, no worries.
I'm saving my pennies for a JTM45 kit. But fear not, any clip I record will be a tube amp of some kind 8)

Should be out to you sometime in the next week or so (am having a blast jamming to that track between students BTW)......
Let's get going, 'cause there's too much music, too little time!!!!

My JTM100 clip is done.......at least close enough, it was time to cut it loose before I drove myself batty.
August, the track with no backing still has empty time at the beginning that I can't seem to shake -- will you still be able to place it correctly in the final track? You wanted it in mp3, right? (My mp3 encoder here only does 128Kbps, anybody know of a free one thatI can download to get even better quality?)

There's enough sloppy right hand technique in there to keep you snickering for months Mark!!

Then I'll let you preview it Mark.......e-mail sent.

It shows that I spend too much time playing blues and classic rock though, so ignore the mild phrasing flubs towards the end.

And I didn't cut off the extra backing track, so don't sit through all four minutes of it, there's only one segment!!

I still have to do a mixdown with no backing, should have that later tonight and I'll send it then. Again, I can't seem to get rid of the extra time at the beginning where the backing track would have been so watch for 12 seconds or so of silence before the unaccompanied version starts........
