He's certifiable. Absolutely nuts. He makes DLR look completely lucid. It's hilarious that he thinks that his smoking/drinking regimen had nothing to do with his head/neck cancer but having a metal pick in his mouth did. Let alone that he's an investor in a lab that is working on a quack cancer cure. Priceless.

I dunno....Ed didn't seem that off to me. All he's talking about on the cancer thing is an alternative cure, and there are loads of them. The thing about it is some alternatives work for some people and don't work for others. Trust me, my father fought cancer for 13 years and we looked at every potential treatment out there. You'll do anything if your life is on the line.

I thought the reason he looked like shit was from the Chemo, but now he says he didn't take Chemo. Maybe it was just all the Ciggarettes and Jack Daniels over the years. That shit will age you.

Yeah maybe it takes an egomaniac rockstar to think you can just go hire a scientist or doctor,start up a lab, and cure cancer. It's almost like when he was chasing tone, and created the brown sound with the techs he hired way back when. I find his methods to solving problems fasinating from a Psycological stand point.
I find his can do attitude kind of refreshing, and if it worked, who the hell am I to criticise. I know there's big money in the Chemo business, and the companies who make money selling that "draino", would be out of business if a cure was ever found. Just like oil companies who don't want alternative fuels or energy to replace them.

I look forward to the day when we finally cure cancer. It's taken many in my family. I don't care who discovers it, just hopefully they share it with the world, and don't price gouge to the point where only the rich can afford to woop cancer.

it may say more about me, but i thought he sounded fine. i think he's got a healthy life-perspective from what i hear in this interview. more so than most people in fact. he even realizes and isn't afraid to say that clapton's only real memorable playing was with cream when he was shooting heroin. i've been saying that for years

I think that it's ludicrous to think that the pharmaceutical companies are suppressing a cure for cancer. They would stand to make even more money off of it than they are now with the present treatments. Chemo and radiation treatments have come a long ways in the recent past. Certain cancers that were a death sentence 10 years ago are totally treatable now. I know family members who have survived for years longer than their original prognosis. My grandma outlived doctors who had given her months to live and she lasted 25 years after that! I would also support the alternative treatments as a last ditch attempt after conventional medicine had failed but the ugly truth is that the majority of them are pure quackery interested in seperating you from your cash as quickly as possible.

It's all about money, they couldn't care less about your health, they just want to make cash, it's true for all deseases.....If a guy would find a natutral cure to cure diabetes he would get killed or pay off millions to shut the fuck up.........

Same thing with the food industrie, they want you to get fat so you get sick so you buy drugs and they all make money, food and drugs companies are bandits......I can go on and on here....

They have discovered a cure for type 2 diabetes. It's as simple as a change in diet. Type 2 is completely reversible but most people are so set in their ways that they'll never change. My father in law used to have a relatively mild form of it but now he has to inject insulin a few times each day and his eyes are going bad. He also eats a bag of potato chips, cookies, and a couple of ice cream bars a day.

I'm no doctor but from what I understand about cancer is that there are many different strains, types, and causes. I don't think there will ever be a single cure-all that will take care of every form of cancer. They may come up with something thats like a cure for say "type a-2 form of pancreatic cancer"(just made up for example) for instance but it may have no effect on other cancer types. What good are dead patients to a pharmaceutical company? They want you to keep coming back for more drugs. When they eventually do come up with some drugs that are closer to a "cure", the prices will be outrageous due to all of the R&D that have to go into them. They'll make way more than chemo and radiation right now (radiation is actually cheap compared to some medical procedures). A cure for cancer will net a pharma company billions in stock price increase and product markup.

True but longevity is the key to successful profits...thats the only point Im making... Its all a scamm period....

Hey in the 80's a biochimist found a serium to cure any cancer in a week, that guy vanish from the surface of the earth, when Ed says he found a way to cure his cancer, that might not be as nuts as it may look like...
