thats not an accurate transcription of eruption - some of it is correct and some of it is way off - i imagine it can get ya started though.

Bah - you'll never get an accurate transcription. Just get a rough one and improve it from there by listening to the record.

Somewhere I've got a transcription of Eruption that was done by Steve Vai, and it is way off. Perhaps not so much in the actual notes that are transcribed, but more in where on the neck they were played.

Find Wolf Marshall's transcription.

I would highly recommend loading up "Power Tab". It's a great tool and it's free.
http://www.power-tab.net/
The site where people created power tabs and shared them has been shut down to the public because of legal problems, but before they shut down the people at Ultimat Guitar copied all the files and you can down load them.

There are 6 versions of Eruption on there. Now here's why this is cool. Power Tab plays midi notes along with the tabbed notes. It is also possible (but a bit tricky to figure out) to slow down the passages. This way you can judge for yourself how accurate you think it is.
