Marshall DSL50 to sound like Super Lead Plexi a la EVH???

While the Marshall DSL50 sounds great on its own...I feel it falls short of sounding like Eddie's Super Lead Plexi (circa 1984). Is it even possible to replicate a Super Lead with a DSL50? By replicate, I mean, come very very close to sounding alike. Or, are the schematics of the two amps too different? In other words, what makes an EVH Plexi an EVH Plexi???

Thanks.

Short answer - no!

On the other hand, Johan Segeborn can make pretty much anything sound like a "Plexi" (it's all in the fingers...)

The circuits are nothing but similar...

Anyway, there're people sounding awesome with DSL's like John Norum

50s don't have the oomph and air of 100s, even if the 100 is not maxed. Imo this is a huge difference
