Happy new year all,
I was digging through my schematic and layout archives and was a bit confused by this one. Sorry for the poor resolution but it is all I have. I acquired it through the forum that use to be online at Rockstah's website. IIRC someone posted this layout just after Mark's passing with the hope of revealing the mod so others can continue to tweak and implement it. However, it received mixed feelings and was quickly taken down. I have never built the preamp portion of this layout. Can anyone verify or testify to this preamp configuration? Is it a starting point to some good tones or no

After reading a millon pages or so of Rockstah mod 5 stuff I think that only Mark A can perform the Rockstah Mod 5 because every amp is different and took differnt mods and tweaks to get the sound he was looking for. I think of the mod 5 as amp "tone" not an actual amp modification. I have cascaded a few SLP's and own an actual Rockstah Mod 5 and they all sound close but not quite the same. Your diagram is a good starting point for sure but its just a cascaded preamp with some other tweaks. The mod 5 died with Mark.
