EVH Frankenstein wiring details

In Decembers Premier Guitar online magazine is an article describing the famous wiring of Ed's Franky Strat.

Thanks for posting this.

I really like that "tone switch" idea of using a switch to add the effect of a tone control on 10 without having to add the additional pot. Using a push-push switching volume pot seems a slick way of doing this.

Edited to add: I may be confused but I think there may be a mistake in this diagram(Fig. 2) Shouldn't there be a resistor matching whatever tone pot value you're simulating here in series with the tone cap?

Dave, tx much for posting. Wish the dude who wrote it did a bunch of research beforehand because he seems to be ignoring a lot of stuff uncovered here, but whatever! Much appreciated....
