NO Slave set up.. Just a Plexi amp and 4x12 cabinet.I will have to get the details.See, I have a buddy that owns a studio and I took 3 4x12 cabs and a 73 50 watt and a 69 100 watt up there for him to check out. I am certain that this is no elaborite set up. Probally just the head and cabinet, this guy has awesome hands, but EVH isnt his thing. He gets into SRV,Hendrix,Led eppelin etc. I jst mentiond to do an EVH clip with my amps and this is what he sent me. Its good to have someone with an unbiased opinion review amps!! Next im going to give him my NOS parts 68 build, not mention what it is..Just give it to him and see what he says about it.Hopefully he will send more clips.SRV,JH etc. I will post them as well. Mark

Geez Dude, what are you coming on this forum posting a no slaved clip for.
This is a slaving only forum :D

I think it sounds pretty good, classic Plexi sound. I can tell the player is more of a blues type player than a EVH player as well.

OK here is what I found out he used. My 1969 SuperBass (Original Marshall) but it has a split cathode,68 v2 and .005 cap on ch 1. He used a 74 Cab with 2 30's and 2 25's. 4 mics,2 57's and 2 others. Also he has a Line 6 big pedal board thing that has like 9 to 12 pedals on it. He said he used a eq,flanger, phaser and some echo from that Line 6 thing.Guitar was a Les Paul. He said he could get a little closer if he used a EVH type guitar. I don't think he put alot of effort into these clips. He used to be into EVH but now is really into SRV,Hendrix etc. He is an awesome player though. Honestly Im a little disipointed he used that line 6 thing but at least he used it for the fx and not the amp sound. He just made up the pedal chain with it. Mark

Could use a little more low end to my ear and sounds a little piercing in the upper mids. It's raw as hell..I'll give it that! Probably sounds stellar in a mix.

If you look at the ID # in that URL, looks like it's the same tune as above. That first clip above sounded great!

actually if he was still into the evh thing the clips would be better. he did this on a whim in under 30 mins. keep in mind he hasn't been int0 vh for years.. Mark
