Sounds good, what cabinet are you using? How loud was it? What reverb are you using?
Ralle actually parted with this amp?

I use a Marshall TV 4x12 cab with greenbacks.
The volume was not to loud..under normal "rehersal" settings.
The reverb i a plate reverb in the Cubaseprogram.
I bougt the amp modified and ready to go from Ralle.

The tubes in the power section are JJs.
I don`t now about the preamptubes,
they don“t have any label on.
We have to ask Ralle about that...

How's that amp getting so much gain???

Thanks ! From cascade I believe...I`m not really in to all details
about the amp since I don`t do repairs and ampmods by myself.
I think Ralle will join the forum later on...so for detailed
information about the amp we better ask him...

I can hear the amp and its damn close

I think the recording process produces a little fizz but that is one of the best ATBL's I have heard-congrats man! Or is the fizz amp gain noise and you didn't use a gate post mic??
Definitley has that compressed thick smack off each pick attack in the main riff thats hard to get.
Signal chain? P/U? What you got goin on there? Spill it

Thanks !
There is an EQ boost on the very high end (8-10khz) in Cubase.
Thats maybe were the fizz came from?
The recording is a slave setup.
The signal chain is: Guitar-Amp1 (71 Marshall)-Powerbrake-Echoplex-
Amp2 (Reissue Marshall SLP)-4x12 Cab.
The pickup is a Seymour Duncan JB.
One of the speakerout on the Powerbrake is converted into a
Lineout with levelcontrol and this feeds the Echoplex.
The signal from the Echoplex goes into the return of the FX loop.

Oh well... I was hoping it was just the Ralle head
Don't get me wrong it sounds great, but the PB/echoplex/amp2 adds so many sound variables that I just can't get a true picture of the sound of the amp you've had built. Maybe if you get chance sometime I'd love to hear the amp/cab/cubase, without the 8-10khz.
Still great stuff you've got going...enjoy

It"s a AWESOME setup! I'm sure the amp by its self would sound great but come on he's got the tone almost nailed way to go! and thanks for sharing. By the way whats the guitar used for the clip? and were in the chain is the echoplex? after the first amp into the fx loop of the slp reissue?

Get rid of the EQ boost in the cubase and re record it...

Man that is so close ..someone buy this man a cigar. That is just fantastic!! To think it's not a pro recording at sunset sound just cubase...too much!
I am a firm believer in slaving that's for sure and you pretty well got it down good in this clip and using the lineout for the echoplex after your load is THE WAY TO GO . Having a Ralle modded amp helps for sure.
Yep the proof is in the pudding , expecially if your pudding is a slaved plexi...
This clip should dispel the myth for good of just a ordinary stock plexi into jbls...I'm betting the reason most don't get the tone right is they just don't have the right combination of amps, load, and that all important line out.
I'm a fan of using the effects return of amp 2 also, actually the best clips seem to be when the preamp of amp 2 is bypassed or if just one gain stage of a tube is used before the effects return.
Again fantastic clip..hats off to you.
