Just thinkin'....

All 'n all every individual whammy has good and not so good charactoristics.
I've found the Ibanez Pivot post seem to be THE Best in terms of stability
due to their micro alen screw set. Anchoring the post solidly to the shaft...
Quite the sound design. In Rocket Science terms :P sound vibrations travel better through solid fittings. Like a good neck pocket for example...

I posted on how to do this taking into account the frets are so tall. Chip Todd the guy who designed the T-60 taught me the correct method.

The harmonic vs 12th fret method just doesn't cut it and is illogical considering the design of the guitar.
Ah got ya.....

I guess you scope it for proper intonation?
