Did Eddie use greenbacks or blackbacks?

the heritage greenbacks would be the winner over the h30s..i would either go with the heritage or the scumbag greenback 75hz clone.the heritage will be a little warmer.there both great.talk to gnugear.he sold his blackbacks and pre rola h30.he ended up keeping his original pre rola greenbacks,his celestion heritage g12m greenbacks and the scumbag 75hz greenback clones.these where all his favorite picks for the VH sound..PM him,and ask his thoughts

I just got an email from Celestion ( Rick Skillman) and he said he works EVH, recent as 2 weeks ago, and said that EVH has always used the G12M and added that now is nuts about the Heritage G12M. So I guess that is it then, that's the rub.

interesting info!i think they do vintage VH perfect,they are a little on the warm side though.

I thought warm was good??? Esp with a vintage plexi, THEY are BRIGHT!

well when you run the old 12 series spec amp its even a little warmer..it is good,just some timesi wish it was a tad brighter.it nails VH perfect!
