After looking really close I would have to say that "No", this is not Mark's work.

I know that Mark did use PEC pots for sure because when i purchased all of Mark's components ( caps, resistors, pots, tubes,...ect) from Mark's brother Jeff last year and there are a bunch of new PEC pots in there.

1. I think Mark would of cleaned up the wiring a bit more, i looks like a monkey did it.
2. I think he would of upgraded if not removed some or all of the white Chicklet caps, because their sounds are not that good.
3. He would of changed out something on V1a or V2a for sure.
4. There are none of the caps that he would of used to replace parts with in the amp other than a Dual 250 PEC pot for the PPIMV and 1 Ohmite resistor.

Mark was a perfectionist, I just don't see it in this amp at all.

just my 2 cents.

Mark placed a couple of dozen orders with me.
Biggest sellers:
Plexi wire kits
Dozens of 500pf Silver Mica caps (same black ones as in the Metro kits)
Dozens of 47pf Silver Mica caps (same black ones as in the Metro kits)
Alpha pot, all values
PEC pots, only 1meg
Sprague Atom Caps
Dozens of white 1k 5w (screen) resistors (same as in the Metro kits), he told me the brand of these made no diff to the sound.

At this point, I think he was building entire amps for folks. Probably getting the chassis from Ceriatone.
I guess this tells you more about which parts he did NOT think were important. The pots are interesting... I wonder if for ground up builds he only used the PECs for the Volume pots?

Valvestorm,

Care to list the values of the Sprague Atom Caps that Mark ordered from you ???

10ufs 150v, for the bias supply I suppose... I don't think I offered the "other" value(s) at that time...

FWIW, the amp in question has changed hands several times since the OP sold it. I think I remember seeing it on the Rig-Talk emporium over a few months sold by the OP, then traded by the buyer for a Cameron Aldrich mod, then sold again by the guy who traded for it.

A few months ago, I sold an amp Mark had modded for me and included Mark's original clips and a copy of all the e-mail correspondence between us. IMO, those two things trump a chassis shot as it's an easy to perform mod that can be done by anyone. In the absence of that provenance, I wouldn't buy an Abrahamian Mod 5. A lot of sellers (not our OP) are jacking up the price with Mark's untimely passing and it's up to them to prove that it came from Mark's hands. Just my $0.02.
