Am I missing something? I thought the amp was rebuilt from the bare chassis by Van Wheelden or something.

I normally would like the 47k feedback off the speaker jack to but you need all the specs to sound right with with the 100k. Variac bias 6ca7's etc.

I have found that DF's specs work with the whole equation, the real Sylvania 6ca7's love that 100k 4ohm tap.
So you think your Mesa-Boogie is cool? You won't even be able to hear it over my Marshall Superlead

Any word on what TUBES are currently in the amp?

This might have a big bearing on the fact he says it doesn't sound like it used to...

And then there's the question of does he still have those old 20W Celestions, and the condition that they might be in... :?
So I like purple, okay!!!!!!

Did he share with you when and where he got the amp? I've heard differing stories. Also, was the mod in the rear of the amp there when he got it or did he have it done? Big thanks, Dave!

My three questions on this topic are:

1. What's the low-down on the current Output transformer in the amp? (i.e. possible mfg, primary resistance, etc,.)

2. Can Dave or George offer any speculation as what they think the now plugged hole on the rear of the chassis; which used to have a possible potentiometer or switch installed; was used for?

3. Assuming the specs that Dave graciously revealed is the complete story, and he's not withholding any additional info; then why the absence of pictures of the amp? I mean why not even pictures of the top, front, or back of the chassis?

On a professional basis, I would say that might be 'pushing ones luck' a little if they were to do that. It's not really their place to go publishing photographs of someone else's equipment without their permission.

Awesome.

Thanks Dave and George.

My only question left, is it stock Marshall OT? Or is the VHT OT in it?

Stock would be a 1202-119 yes?\\

Era correct Dagnall C1998. Out of a mint '68 Super Tremelo, is my understanding.
