Now theres an idea.

Then you will sell more kits and have to hire more stock help...but man...the Metro name will be even larger. :)

Not that you have to have a kit, but could somebody just say, "I want all the parts (parts bundle) it would take to build a 12000 Metro", and just buy all the parts in a package deal with the regular reference CD (with Billy Batz 12000 Drawing) with the understaning that this is an advanced kit, (not intended for first timers) and support will be in the Forums, other than that you are on your own

I would definately charge more than a Merc equiped 69 Kit.
Maybe $1400 for a 12000 parts bundle.
Might as well make it worth your while if you do it.

With all the people here, support shouldn't be a problem.

Just a thought...

You guys make very good points. I'll try adding up the parts and see where it's at.

Maybe we can swing something. Thanks for the input.

There's no reason not to bundle the stuff in a package, as long as it's worth it to you financially, and it's crystal clear where the tech support is coming from so you don't go insane!!!!

George,I remember you saying something a while back about eventually revising the 69 kit instructions to be as user friendly as the jtm45 kit.

Why not simply offer the standard 69 kit with instructions that have addendums suggesting the alternate parts in the circuit for the 12 series circuit along with the substituted parts when you revise the instructions?Meaning, keep the 69 chassis with cap cans on top design with just substituted parts to accomplish the 12 series circuit.

That way your tech support would remain the same as far questions regarding construction and troubleshooting. :)

Looking at the numbers, MightyMike is right. $1400 would get you all the parts. The diagrams, layouts and schematics would be there for assembly, and the forum for help of course.

I'll add this as an option for the bare bones kit and let's try it out. See how if goes with a few builds. Who wants to be a beta tester?

Also, I had to include the additional shipping costs in the option. The package price is now $1200.

I may have issues with international orders beause the option doesn't update the shippign weight for the order. This is a new wrinkle that I wasn't aware of.

I'll see what Bash thinks and work on a solution.

I'll be a beta tester, Ill put my order in tonight when I get home. Also as a first time bulider I would suggest having a "Building a 12xxx" forum for support. Right now all the questions about building a 12xxx are spread over the Metroamps/Marshall/EVH forums. I think it would be great to have just a 12xxx forum, after a couple months of good threads that be come "stickys" all the answers to commons questions would be right there, with pics and diagrams from users.

Yes they are excellent trannys. So are the Merc SL OT he sells..just listen to Rockstahs clips. His dual Tap PT works great for that too,
If pared with the right Circuit, Hands, and Guitar they will do a stellar VH tone I've heard them in action.
These are gonna be great kits. :D
