this is how i see it - you can fool people with them, sure - but they dont respond and feel like the real thing if that makes sense. i use a pod pro xt on the road cause it works. but if could i would bring plexis in a nano second - its just not the same for the one playing the amps.

yeah so far i find the attack time is slow? but i really haven't spent enough time too run her [wfo] and see what it really is capable of. i am thinking mabye an atomic amp would be cool with it.

Glad you´re listening, young man ! I told you a few 1000 posts back to put a lower output humbucker in you red strat ! Love it ! Looks suitably shabby !

Did you ever see the pic of Ralle500´s setup ? I have a pic of it somewhere. He used a Strat with a JB and a Floyd. The guitar looked like he took a sander to it, and did´nt finish the job, his Marshall and cab looked beat like EVH´s and it was all set up in a basement that looked like dungeon.... 8)

I wonder how the config you made this clip with:
http://www.markabrahamian.com/rockstah_ ... _verb2.mp3

would sound with the mangled Strat ? Darker...? Fantastic sound, tone and feel on that one. The last one is really good too.

Don´t go using any of the powertools I see in the back of the pics on your nice LP... Don´t get carried away.

As for the Pod XT clip: Amazing playing, but it seems to me, as it have with the other clips you´ve made with the Pod, that you don´t have to work as hard, or that it does´nt capture your mighty fine pickin´as well.
Sounds too easy, not sweaty enough. No nuances, but a good sound, not much tone...But a great tool.

I can´t wait to hear what the Strat will sound like.

I'm wondering if hearing the pickup through the strat might make you want to go the opposite direction in which you've been going and make the values in your amp fatter, as opposed to brighter.

yes you did tell me :) and well plugging in thsi guitar we have a whole new ball game as far as how the amp sounds. and talk about working hard its hard right nwo through my plexi - im going to do some more solder sniffin here and post clips soon.

i did see the ralle setup with his guitar, head and cab in the dugeon ;)!

ill try it first with the setup you mentioned - but it seems i am going to have to beef the power section back up to 50 on screens and mains right off the bat ;)
no worries with the powertools ;)

yeah its real easy on the podxt for sure the pod xt is a fun toy but thats it... a toy - im in search of the real thing ;)

before i get to tweakin the amp i thought it might be kewl to hear the difference between les paul (shredder)and my strat (darkburst)at my current spec.

in the middle of the track you will hear me unplug and plug a guitar in - first is the les paul and then the strat.

i did one file with the effect i have been using and one dry.

dry:

Boy.... when you're a GREAT player (like Mark) you can make anything sound GREAT!!! That's why manufacturers try to give out endorsements to good players. Many times the endorsees really makes or breaks the product thier trying to sell.....

BTW... Great sound from the interesting hacked guitar!!
I enjoy creating those "frankenstien" instruments and amps and seeing what they sound like at the end. Some of my past "frankenstien" stuff sounded pretty good. I also had a bunch of experiments that didn't do so well also... . Lots of fun!

Hey Mark... Thanks for being on this forum. You keep us on our toes and entertained. Also, You're sound clips are always fun to listen to. :D
