Where can I find these?
You just have a keep an eye out on ebay pretty much. Also check the classified here and at the Plexi Palace.
Black backs from the 70's sound really good too.

I hve some transitional 1972 30w Celestions with the old hardware, and love them.

I'll take those G12-65's off your hands if you no longer want them.

I really like these. But compared to the G12C Greenbacks they are wildly different. There is more bite and top end on the G12C but the G12-65 has a much warmer and fuller sound than the G12C, with heaps more bottom end. The G12-65 don't have that Brashness that the G12C's do, which you might miss if you're used to a sound which really CUTS. I'm actually much happier with my 2x12 loaded with G12-65 now and my 4x12 with G12C has been put into storage. For the sound I like, which is a warm, midrangy rock sound without the cut-your-head-off treble the G12-65 is an excellent fit, it's always sweet, never too trebly, never too boxy in the mids, never too wooly on the bottom end, just a fantastic all-rounder.

Wow...this exactly how I would describe my 212 loaded with g12-65s! I was browsing old threads when I saw this, so sorry I revived a two year old thread but this just resonated with me.

Mr Beasty from this forum uses a 4x12 with G12-65's and he has a pretty GOOD brown sound.... I have 2 rola creambacks with 2 scumbacks m75 25w in x pattern in my cab.. I can tell you, they sound VERY close, with the scums being a bit smoother/looser sounding and a little bit less bright (what I really like)... with higher volume sttings, the difference is close to 0.

I"d look over some rola green/black/cream backs from hte 70's at the bay or get some 25w scumback blackbacks   can't go wrong with any.

Have had many of the G12-65's. They would be my easy 2nd choice. Fantastic.
