I did these and thought just pulling R28 sounded best. Then I went and lost one of the caps.

I did a Build Your Own Clone phase 90 and love it! I built one when the first kit came out and it was a lot better than a new MXR with R28 mod. Since then I heard they updated the kit so I built another one and it's even better. I remember that the sound was different when turning the trimpot clockwise vs. counter clockwise. Can't remember which direction I decided on but I dialed out the low end flub and the effect is much more subtle, which I'm guessing is more like an original one. I used to not use it much but now I can leave it on without the effect overpowering to sound.
Gear:
'74 Super Lead rebuilt with '68 metro board and old stock mustards.
'73 Super Lead
'68 Basketweave with pre rola G12Ms
'70 Basketweave

I may check out a BYOC just to mess around with it and not screw up my script.
Thanks for the insights!

I have a phase 90 block print that had the diode replaced from incorrect polarity, The light comes on when the button is pushed but no sweeping? It sweeps only when I turn the tweaker pot. And when button is pushed there is a noticeable boost in volume. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Not sure if this posted already? I have a block print phase 90 that has replaced the diode from incorrect polarity. Now when the button is pushed, the light comes on, it gives a slight boost, & no sweep. It only sweeps with the tweaker but auto. turmimg the tweaker I get a slight sweep ?? Any ideas?
Thanks.
