I'm putting in a 73k, and 106k for V3.

SHould I get that 106 to drift higher?

I used my Soldering Iron to turn my 820s in to 950, and 1050s.

I'm almost done with the 10000.

And I bought a Variac.

Signature? all the links? sorry i don't get it....Notice my sign!!?
oh i was just pointing to thats where my latest clip will be. ;)

yeah when i turn on the amp it at 120v my heaters were at 6.55 in standby mode. (500dcv tap bias at 30mA or 60 percent MPD)

fliping the amp into play position my heaters dropped to around 6.47 and then i dialed down from there to around 6.1 at 110v on the variac.

ill try to get some clips up by tonight.

im on the 500v tap biased at 30mA to begin with.

yeah the volume changes it was all in one take.

you will hear four different times i turn down the variac.
first is120v
second 110v
third 100v 4th120v
last pass 90v (my heaters at 90v are at 4.7vac )

my attention span... maybe ill do another one where i play all the same riffs on all voltages. :)

very interesting indeed.
- messins around over here.
its at a 110 - 100 i think i like it the best, atleast on that clip.
90 gets kind of mushy but again i havent even touched the bias at this point. i havent measured the bias yet but i know my bias went from 30ma down to 20 at 110v let along 90v!. ;)

good idea biased at 30mA-- at 108-109 the b+ is 460.

120 is 512 B+
110 is 470 b+
100 = 440 b+
90 is 400dcv. - right on George! ;)

Mike go slow on that, I've pushed it a lot once (had 70k/115k) and I got real mushy......use a pot for trimming

Shit, from being "Right There" at that brown sound (really close) maybe some OT experimentation would help. Eddie's OT was obviously not a MM. Have you tried the Dagnall clone.
