I downloaded this bootleg over the weekend:
http://www.dirqvan.com/bootleg/extra_info.php?id=55
It's a soundcheck in 1993, the F.U.C.K. tour.
Like alot of people on this site I'm also a big fan of Ed's early tone, pre 5150, and not so much a fan of his later tone (even though I own a 6505).
But I have to say after listening to this boot he still had an incredible awesome tone with the Peavey 5150's and the Wolfgang. I was surprised myself. It was cool to watch and listen to him in this setting. But man, what a sound. Sure, it's still not like his early tone, but regardless it's still an amazing guitar sound on it's own. It's very big, very full, thick, even orchestral with the help of the harmonizer. Even through a dinky camcorder his tone sounded huge.
The thing I found curious was how much delay he used during that time.
I would've thought that adding delay to your sound, on top of the natural reverb in stadium rock, would muddy it up too much. But he had quite a bit of it.
Doesn't anyone have any experience with delay/reverb in these settings?

There are no clips that I know of.
It's just a reference to that bootleg.
