Well, I can't argue with your tone, but don't you find the amp cranked to be a little loud? I mean painfully and impractically LOUD? Do you not think the hotplate changes the tone also? I don't mean to argue with you, but most people have to deal with the ridiculous volume of these beasts somehow. The question, I guess, is which way is best.master keeper wrote:You see, that's exactly my problem... I've NEVER heard an amp with that mod that didn't have it's tone changed - and I don't want to change the tone of this amp!!!!!!!!!! In the room it sounds so good it's unreal - so why would I change anything?Crunchboy wrote:...knock off some db's without significantly changing the tone...
If it ain't broken, why fix it?

you're right! But since it does sound great this way, I don't want to change it and start all over againCrunchboy wrote:Well, I can't argue with your tone, but don't you find the amp cranked to be a little loud?
