Very nice tone. What are you using for tubes?

Nice. Left me wanting to hear more. I still get the biggest kick out of that cheap ass Behringer Vintage Delay in front of the amp. I have that pedal too and I don't know why it works so good but it does.

Gotta love it.

James, I just remembered you had one of the best clips ever with a 44nf at the PI input and 100k NFB etc.
What's your final verdict on the 44nf PI input cap? It's in my amp (two parallel caps that is), but I forgot hot it actually sounded with the stock 22nf

Me too, the same way. Two .022's in parallel. Never took it out after adding it. Still use the 100K NFB too. The only thing I've done different is try 85VAC on the variac. (down from 90VAC) Very very slight difference. Almost negligible.
I am however, going to try that one oddball, non-typical part that everyone talks about but can't say what it is because it's been asked to be kept secret. I tried it once before but didn't care for then but curiosity has me and I'm going to jump in and try it again. Maybe I'll try the .022 PI and 47K or even 27K NFB. Just swap around and try combinations of stuff and see what sings to me today.

My biggest problem with tweaking and swapping board parts is the damn PCB
That secret part is in my amp. Instead of changing that part I used the resistor for a quick add on resistance...
I'm on the 27k/8 NFB combo

Oh wow. Didn't realize you had a PCB. That's double tuff stuff. So, yes, I've been monkeying around in my amp just for some referencing as I haven't really messed around with it in a while. PI input stays at .047. Lovin it

NFB also stays at 100K on the 8 ohm.

Just works for my amp. Keeps it nice and hairy. Didn't even mess with that other thing. The only thing I did change is I went from 820 ohms to 1.5K with the .68uF on V1. It's a smidge cleaner and maybe just a hair brighter but it hits harder and seems to accept pedals just a bit better. Other than that, no changes. I tested all of this straight to the cab too. Not in the slave set up. Wanted to hear it in it's truest of forms. Me and my neighbors.

I went from 820 to 1k to 2k7. The 2k7 is the fullest sounding and works much better with the secret part, but 1k was also interesting. I hear the biggest differences in the mids, the 1k was softer, brighter and scooped compared to 2k7

Very interesting. I hear the 2.7K getting cleaner with a little more treble bite. Very slight but noticeable in the way that treble tightens the low end some. The highs seems to have just a hair more bite too. But to me, definitely just a little cleaner and punchier. I've left a 1.5K in there for the time being as I'm trying a Duncan Custom right now. Even though it reads 14.5K DC Resistance, the MM 1300 at 13.9K Has more of "IT" to it. Just moved the Duncan Custom up real close to the strings (much closer that the MM was) and it's getting much better. Definitely different but to early to say better or worse.
