I've got EL34's in mine, but I have Mercury Radiospares trannies, and NOS glass.

You'll hear the typical difference between KT66s and EL34s...KT66s are sweeter, a little clearer, glassier, and the bass, mid and treble seem very balanced. EL34s sound a little grittier, dirtier, with a bit of a low mid emphasis
