I'm having a few issues with my build (http://forum.metroamp.com/viewtopic.php ... 38#p421838" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and have started to wonder whether the problem lies within the operating voltage I set on the ClassicTone PT.
the operating voltage in my country is 220V/50Hz. I know 220V is historically accurate but that in practice the voltage has been closer to 230V for quite some time now. when checking the AC on the Standby switch terminal in Step 1 of the testing phase I get 228V AC reading. I remember reading that it's better to be a little over than a little under but I'm starting to think this may be the reason one of my output tubes is redplating and my tube preamps DC is more than 10% higher.
should I rewire to 230V operation?
proper mains AC voltage

Re: proper mains AC voltage
rewired to the 230V tap - now the heaters on the preamp and output tubes read 2.8V AC while the instructions call for 3.15V.
not good I guess.
