I'm having some trouble with my rebuilt Jtm45. I rebuilt it about a year and half ago and it has performed flawlessly since, but recently its been acting up here and there. Its not a consistant problem; it comes and goes. Aftering playing a note or chord there is ugly distortion that follows. I have tried replacing all the tubes without sucess. Now I'm starting to think I might have a leaky cap somewhere - can a cap fail after only after a year and a half? I have a sound clip of it acting up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjaq_BN3zXU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
Any help would be much appericated,
Kyle

I have had similar issues on one of these - turned out to be a failing Sprague preamp can. Although presume you have swapped all the valves out for known good ones first - usually commonest cause of grief.
