Another Scumback happy customer - M75s

Post by BAinFL » Wed May 02, 2012 12:24 pm

Well I finally got around to my first pair of Jim's speakers, and all I can say is, it ain't no hype. These speakers REALLY ARE that good. I heard stuff from my amps and guitar that weren't there 24 hours ago. I went with a pair of the M75 65w 16ohm and couldn't be happier. Playing into my JMP 2203 with just a small push from a treble booster, I heard the most musical qualities I could have ever hoped for. I had been playing thru some "Made in England" Celestion Greenbacks which I really liked a lot for that classic rock tone, the Scumbacks had that same exact tone - the mid 70's sweet crunch, but they also had something MORE...so hard to describe in words but every chord just sounded more alive and rich. The more I played, the more I wanted to keep playing. Stayed up til 1:30am last night...so bummed I couldn't crank the shit up with everyone sleeping. But all that amazing tone was there at bedroom levels. So add me to the list...a very satisfied customer.

I guess I'll just pay Jim the best compliment a customer can offer. I just ordered another pair =)

Sadly the 12000 has been neglected since I got my JMP 2203. I've been considering mods and really haven't touched it. I'm thinking a RR or AFD #36 for more gain since I dislike OD pedals for the most part. The other part of my brain is saying try Super Bass specs and get a cheap MIM :jimi:

But if I go that route I'll need H55s from Jim :palm:
