WGS Liberator (new model)

Let me preface this by saying I've listened to MANY clips (independant and manufacturer) of WGS speakers over the past couple of weeks and honestly I think almost every one of their speakers I've heard sounds like crap. I know they have a following and if you like their sound the prices are definitely affordable...all the more power to ya.

I just heard a clip of their new Liberator 80 speaker and I was blown away. http://www.wgs4.com/liberator-80-80-watts I'm a fan of that mids-heavy, early 70's, Himbuckers thru a cranked plexi sound (think Free, Jimmy Page, early Rush,etc...) Their clip of this Liberator really blew me away. This was almost a grail tone for me. I'm shopping for cabs and speakers atm. And after hearing that clip, I really want to check these out. Anyone else liking the mids on this speaker? Clean it sounded a bit limited in the high end - might mix well with a different speaker...but I'll be playing dirty 98% of the time. I could get a dinged up 2x12 and throw a pair of these in there for next to nothing. Decisions...decisions.

I have a quad of the Greenback clones they make. They are ok, but are not even close to having a broken in sound. Really bright. Yeah, for the money you cant beat them for sure, but you have to break them in before judging anything. All of their speakers have pretty good construction from what I've seen.

Not at all familiar with these speakers, but checking out the website I find it rather odd that the "British Invasion" speakers are all represented via a Mesa-Boogie amp in their sound files. Was hoping to hear a classic Marshall of every *era* to represent said speakers.
Not knocking them by any means, just can't relate to the sound.
I would like to give it a go needing two (more) speakers to fill a 4x12 cab based on their description and price.

Yeah. I think whever is in charge of their sound clips needs to be fired. Also those YouTube WGS shootout reviews are awful. I've heard Green Berets in person and they were far better live than on those awful clips. Any yeah - those amp choices were bizzare.

They need to have something like

Vintage Fender
Plexi
JCM800
Soldano/Mesa
5w boutique?
