Rola Creamback Celestions
I was curious if anyone has any experience with 1972-1973 creambacks with 003 cones, had any other structural components changed or are they tonally equivalent to late 60's greenbacks? I am looking at a 1973 straight 4x12 with creambacks for $1100 any thoughts?
So you think your Mesa-Boogie is cool? You won't even be able to hear it over my Marshall Superlead

If you can get the cab for that price AND the 003 cones are good, I'd say buy it. The 003 cone is of course the Pulsonic 102 003 cones which are highly regarded for their great tone. No need to have the pre rola label, or black speaker tabs as they'll sound identical to the pre rola models.

Re: Rola Creamback Celestions
I have a 1960B cab with creambacks and it sounds amazing, none of my other cabs can top it not even the advertized 25watt PreRola clones companies advertise. Try to work the price down if you can, if not, buy it, because someone was trying to buy my cab for 1,600.00 that was his first offer, I just couldn't sale it. Why, because no other speakers but the same kind will give you that unique tone, believe that. The only speaker IMO that come close are the Scumback M75 65 watters. I haven't tryied the 25 watt M75 speakers but I hear they are even closer. I would buy the cab.
