I've had two of these old (ancient) Fanes in storage and brought them out again to use for testing amps on my work bench.
I remembered them sounding VERY mid-heavy, but I've hooked them up with my modded 2203 and the tone is just awesome, though I doubt they are rated for much more than 15w each.
Anyone know anything about these, just they look a lot earlier than other Fanes I've seen before ???

they look very similar to some of the old wharfedale cones and i think you are right they are about 15-20 watts each they look like mid 60-early 70's fanes nice speakers

Reminds me a long time ago I was playing through an old 12" speaker from an old stereo. My son was little and asked if he could turn it up loud. He cranked the knob and the speaker blew threw the voice coil right out of the magnet.
Be careful if you want to keep those speakers.
