Looking for old school. Which Scumbacks to use?
I'm curious to see what everyone's thoughts are on what type of Scumbacks I should look at purchasing. I have a Marshall 1960A with the 75 watters in it and I think it could be o-so-much better with my Metro 100 watt with some Scumbacks or maybe some different Celestions. Like the classics for the most part...Hendrix, Clapton, EVH, etc. Kind of looking for something like that...Any thoughts out there?? I know what the websites say, but was looking for some personal knowledge and preference.

I have six questions I ask players before I recommend speakers. You might want to email me to get those, if you want a recommendation.
Basically you're looking at M75 65w speakers to use with your 100w Metro, though, IMO.
M75 clips here: http://www.scumbackspeakers.com/clips/m_clips.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Not sure if you're using a Strat or Les Paul, but Glen Kuykendall's clips have both with a 68 100w Super Bass.
Scroll down to find those.
Higher gain tones, checkout the Pete Thorn clips with the Marsha/Friedman amp at the top.
The six questions are below.
1. Guitar/pickups used, how hot do you set your guitar volume?
2. Amp type/tubes used/clean RMS rating (volume of 4-5) and OD power rating (over 7)?
Where is your amp’s volume set?
3. Fx used?
4. Style of music or name a famous guitarist tone you’re trying to get close to?
5. Size and depth of cabinet (dimensions), is it straight or angled, open or closed back type?
6. What speakers are you using now and what do you think needs improvement?
