The speakers are original cones. The guy didn't know, he assumed they were reconed.Southbay Ampworks wrote:"The T1221 Cab and speakers are completly original but the wheels are not.The tolex has 6 small tears and the grill has some discoloration and 2 small holes. Marshall sells a reisue for $1200 you can have the real deal for the same money This item has been relisted due to an error on my part the paper on the speakers do not have codes this means that the paper cone of the speaker is not original the magnet and frames are. If your original bid was canceled please bid again Sorry for my error."
This cab had reconed speakers in it and needed retolexing, and you paid $1000 for it? Or did I read that wrong or miss something from the original auction?
I will let you know when I wire it up.robert wrote:Hi Duke,
what are the cone numbers on your Greybacks, and how do they sound in comparsion to Pre Rola G12M Greenbacks?
If they're KF, (September 73) then they should be either 102/3 or the RIC xxx cones. I haven't heard many of the RIC cones. Some say they're close to the Pulsonic 102 003 and 102/3 cones.leleduke wrote:I will let you know when I wire it up.robert wrote:Hi Duke,

Original four screw cork gasket. not a recone.beaulieu wrote:im positive my 73 cab has the original speakers and I had 3 reconed but the one I didnt have reconed I cannot find a number anywhere!! I am the second owner and I asked the first owner if he ever replaced or reconed any speakers and he said no. Back when he had it I could see him replacing a spaeker and not reconing one. Plus the date codes all match!! I looked with a mirror can't see one.
When I have OCSR do one, they re-use the original as well.philmanatee wrote:My guy always reuses the cork gasket when I get a recone. Phil
